Despite facing significant challenges such as underfunding, access barriers and increasingly complex crises, the humanitarian community remains committed to addressing ever-growing humanitarian needs. #WorldHumanitarianDay recognises the humanitarian workers who give their lives to helping people in crisis. Digital solutions and #connectivity are revolutionising the delivery of humanitarian aid and continue to make it easier for people in crisis to access lifesaving information and stay connected with their loved ones. For more than a decade, the #GSMA Mobile for Humanitarian Innovation (M4H) programme, supported by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, has fostered public-private partnerships, invested in innovation, and developed a learning agenda to inform the future of #digital humanitarian response. Collaboration is vital for an effective #humanitarian response – and as ever, our network of partners and collaborators is essential to the work of the M4H programme, and we want to acknowledge their efforts in delivering life-saving assistance and relief to those in humanitarian settings. We’re thrilled to have wrapped up the 2024 Masterclass with Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), Kominfo and Multimedia University in Jakarta, Indonesia! 🎓 Over the course of the Masterclass, 38 delegates from Malaysia, Indonesia, and Brunei delved into crucial topics such as #AI, #5G, privacy, #spectrum, and #security, with expert insights from #GSMA and other leading organisations. Participants also had the chance to visit Huawei 's innovation hub and Axiata's #IoT lab, the largest GSMA-certified IoT lab in the Asia Pacific region, providing invaluable hands-on experiences. A big thank you to all our speakers and partners who made this event a success. The Masterclass concluded with the presentation of certificates by Dr. Murugappan of MCMC and Ms. Yessie Yosetya of XL Axiata, marking the end of an incredible week of learning and collaboration. #GSMACapacityBuilding
