Progressive Familial Intrahepatic Cholestasis, or #PFIC, is a rare genetic liver disease with an estimated incidence of 1 in 50,000 to 1 in 100,000 births. Symptoms often manifest in early childhood, including jaundice, pruritus (severe itching), failure to thrive, and malabsorption. Early diagnosis and intervention are crucial in managing the condition and may delay the need for liver transplantation. Stay informed and help identify PFIC early.
