Marvell Alaska® A 1.6T and 800G PAM4 DSPs for Active Electrical Cables (AECs) deliver high-performance copper connectivity for accelerated infrastructure.     Marvell is addressing next-generation AI scale-up network requirements. At OFC Conference 2025, Marvell will demonstrate its new 1.6T silicon photonics light engine for rack-scale AI networks. Operating at less than 5 picojoules per bit (pJ/bit) including laser power, and a highly integrated implementation, the engine can be used in LPO modules or integrated directly in-system to help overcome the reach limitations of passive copper interconnects for mid-density rack-scale connectivity. Supporting eight channels of 200 Gbps per lane, the optical engine consolidates hundreds of components such as modulators, photodetectors, modulator drivers, TIAs, microcontrollers, and a host of other passive components in a single package.     As a huge baseball fan, I’m happy that Marvell Technology goes all out with fun activities on MLB Opening Day. I had a blast talking baseball with my co-workers, triggering a Giants fan with my Angels hat, and will certainly enjoy a hot dog this afternoon. This is the first time I’ve been on a baseball card, and AI was nice enough to give me a little aesthetic boost - although it really butchered the Giants logo. This is a great example of how companies can can make employees really WANT to come in to the office. 😃⚾️
