Scanning black surfaces is particularly challenging because their low reflectivity absorbs light, making it difficult for the scanner to capture accurate data. This often results in incomplete scans. To address this issue, AESUB Scanningsprays are used to create an even and homogeneous coating, preventing reflections and ensuring a high-quality scan. In a recent project, Laserscanning Europe GmbH used the EinStar 3D-Scanner from SHINING 3D in combination with our AESUB Blue to scan a bicycle frame for custom part fabrication. AESUB Blue, is the a market-recognized, high-quality 3D scanning spray, which has proven to be essential in the 3D scanning process. It stays on long enough to scan small, medium, and large objects, and then sublimates without leaving any residue. This means there's no need for post-scan cleaning, making the process much more efficient. #metrologymonday Materials from a valued group user😍 The parts used for the swap included Cadillac CTS-V front and rear calipers, along with front brake discs from Nissan 350Z and 370Z models. Both the front and rear suspensions were 3D scanned on-site, with the front scanned in straight, right, and left steering positions to prevent potential collisions during the design phase. The calipers and discs needed to be positioned to avoid interference with surrounding Eclipse suspension components. While the rear brake caliper design was straightforward, the front calipers couldn't be installed without interfering with the original caliper mounting ears. To make the front calipers fit, the original caliper ears were digitally cut and ground off, and a custom bracket was designed to be mounted between the upright and the wheel bearing. Due to limited space between the caliper and upright, the bracket had to be carefully designed to fit around the existing parts, reinforcing material where possible. This type of precise engineering would have been impossible without 3D scanning. #3dscanning #3dscanner #shining3d #automotive #innovation

🏠Huizhou architecture is one of the most dominant schools of ancient Chinese architecture. Huizhou style houses combine the southern dry-structure with the northern courtyard to form a unique style. 📖The Cheng's Three Houses, a relic from the heyday of Huizhou School architecture, are located in Huangshan City, Anhui Province, and have high scientific research and ornamental value. With the support and cooperation of the local ancient museum, SHINING 3D and the teachers from Zhejiang Media College scanned the wood and brick carvings in the ancient houses and obtained complete data for the research of Chinese traditional pattern 3D printing technology. #3dscanning #3dsacnner #shining3d #traditional #3dprinting #architecture #3dmodel
