  • 🔔 According to The Moodie Davitt Report, the world's top #travel retailers are selected based on sales in 2023. There has been a major change at the top of the list, with Swiss-based travel retailer #Avolta returning to the top spot in terms of annual revenue from 2014 to 2019. The #CDFG fell from first place to second place, with #Lagardère Travel Retail, #Lotte Duty Free and #DFS Group ranking among the top five global travel retailers. Among them, #Lotte Duty Free Store and #Shilla Duty Free Store, two major travel retail giants in South Korea, ranked fourth and sixth respectively, #Shinsegae Duty Free Store ranked eighth, and #Hyundai Duty Free Store ranked 13th. Previously, Lotte Duty Free and Shilla Duty Free had risen to second and third place in the world in 2019. "Korea Economic Daily" responded to this ranking by saying that South Korea's duty-free industry is facing huge difficulties, and the profits of the four major duty-free retailers have dropped significantly in the first half of 2024.
