Honored to represent Omantel at MWC Shanghai 2024, the premier connectivity event in Asia, and to highlight our groundbreaking advancements in 5G and 5G Advanced technologies. Here are some key points from my presentation: • Omantel Overview : As a trailblazing telecom operator in Oman, Omantel is at the forefront of the nation’s digital transformation, catering to both present and future demands. • Oman 2040 Vision: In alignment with Oman’s 2040 Vision, Omantel is pioneering a Digital Economy Strategy, driven by data and automation. • 5G Progress: Since launching our first 5G site in 2019, Omantel is on track to have around 80% of traffic on 5G by 2024. Additionally, our 5G Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) initiative is facilitating nationwide demand for high-speed home broadband & enterprise connectivity • 5G-Adavnce Era: Omantel aspires to lead the 5G-A era by maximizing network capabilities and enhancing user experiences and business applications. • 5G Advanced (5.5G) Trials and Achievements: o Achieved high speeds of 10Gbps using mmWave and TDD carrier aggregation. o Demonstrated RedCap capabilities with RedCap cameras and CPE. o Showcased Ambient IoT/Passive IoT innovations. • 5G SA for Enterprise Private Networks: This is a pivotal step toward realizing the full potential of 5G and paving the way for 6G.
