🌿 Celebrating 100 Years of Biodynamic Agriculture: A Legacy Nurturing a Regenerative Future 🌿 Today marks a milestone in agricultural history. A century ago, a visionary group of farmers sought a more harmonious approach to farming. Their quest led them to Rudolf Steiner, whose eight seminal lectures in 1924 at the Koberwitz estate laid the foundation for what we now know as biodynamic farming. The biodynamic movement has grown to a global community of over 7,000 farmers stewarding 255,000 hectares of biodynamic farmland and the establishment of the Demeter e.V. label. As we gather at the Ökodorf Brodowin farm, the largest biodynamic producer in Germany, nestled within a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, we are reminded of some of the movement’s core values: 🌳 Healthy Soils: The foundation of both biodynamic and regenerative agriculture.  🦅 Biodiversity: This farm exemplifies the balance between human needs and nature’s offerings, ensuring resources for future generations and protecting endangered species in its vast, undisturbed habitats.  👩🌾 Women in Research: Celebrating the integral role of women in advancing agricultural science. At The Nature Conservancy and Paisajes Futuros, we believe the regenerative agriculture movement, with its roots deeply aligned with biodynamic principles, is more relevant than ever in addressing today’s climate and biodiversity crises.
