"With nearly four hundred of our collectible stamps available on the grid, many collectors rush to complete their passports by using tools like the StampFinder (StaFi) or the Gazette Online Travel Guide (GOTG) to identify stamps and teleport rapidly from one location to the next. While efficient, this approach misses the beauty of exploring regions through walking, horse riding, driving, sailing, flying or taking a bus or train. These "old school" methods offer the joys of sightseeing and navigating unique landscapes and structures." Read more on the blog

"Sharing your Second Life experience via social media can be something of a scattergun effort, utilising different platforms for different activities: Flickr or Deviant Art for photos, for example, Twitter or Bluesky or Discord, etc., for messaging and so on. But what if there was a single platform where these various needs could be met, one which – although independent from Second Life and Linden Lab – had been developed specifically for, and with input from, Second Life users and offered a degree of integration integration with Second Life, with the potential for more in the future?

Well, as of June 20th, 2024, there is: Primfeed. And this is its story so far."

"On June 23rd, Second Life will be turning 21. The SL21B celebrations will run from June 21st through July 21st – a month-long party and the BBB is happy once more to be taking part. Apart from hosting the terminal for the commemorative stamp for the big event, we'll be welcoming visitors to our very own water-themed build. The event theme is Elements and, let's face it, water is the fun one!

Boo (our Founder) and AmandaT were our team who set to work to create it. They chose the element 'Water' because many Bellisserians love sailing and water-related activities. Many of us have fleets of boats in inventory!"

"In recent announcements, Linden Lab outlined its vision for integrating AI into the Second Life® platform, aiming to enhance user experience and streamline various functionalities. While this technological advancement holds exciting potential, it also raises important questions about the future of mentoring within the virtual world, especially concerning the invaluable contributions of human mentors." "Fleet Week is an annual highlight in the Second Life® calendar, where military groups from across the platform come together to showcase their activities, achievements, and methodologies. This year, Fleet Week runs from June 3rd to 8th, featuring designated days for each participating group to take the spotlight. The Second Life Coast Guard (SLCG) is set to shine on June 4th." "Without getting technical, let's just say for starters that everything in our world is going to look a little more realistic. Linden Lab is still tweaking, but over on the SL Beta Grid it's already easy to see the difference in things like grass and rocks (terrain textures in SL have always been pretty awful). The differences may be subtle, but you'll feel them even if you don't see them." Read more on the blog

"It's one year this week since the Bellisserian Embassy to SL's oldest democracy – the Confederation of Democratic Simulators (CDS) – opened its doors and CDS began to issue its own passport to citizens. Should you decide to become a citizen, you'll find the CDS has improved on our standard model of passport. Whereas all passports come with a decor version you can leave on your bedside table or adjust to hold in your hand, the CDS hand-held version is actually a fully-working HUD. You can click the controls on its edge to show the latest stamps in world, as modelled here by our staff photographer." Read more on the blog
