November Rain was built by SEMINΛ, a live musician who has been playing gigs around the grid since 2016. SEMINΛ has an interesting way for the virtual world to boost her creative output in the physical world: as she works on new music in the physical world, she finds it comfortable to "park" her avatar at a Second Life destination that's inspiring. It helps spark creativity to surround herself with a certain environment. She says, “Pre-COVID meant visiting a lot of places and traveling in RL so it was quite comforting to find a little part of what was missing in RL at the moment, right in front of you, on the screen.” SEMINΛ explains that November Rain actually came about on a warm midsummer night: “I was tired of the heat and couldn't wait for pumpkin spice season so I thought, let's create it then! Me and my bestie Aurelia von Troubles wanted to open a little place of our own for the longest time where we could host different types of events. Our friend Ƶąȼƙ happened to have some leftover land so we thought, why not? I wanted to create a poetic place with some of my favorite things. Autumn, cozy cafés, the forest, gloomy indie music, sprinkled with a little bit of rock n roll (Guns’N Roses - November Rain), and of course: the sound of the pouring rain.” SEMINΛ says to her there is a lot of beauty to be found in the gloomy darkness of things: “It doesn't always have to be sunshine and rainbows for something to thrive in a good or positive way. I agree, there are a lot of DJs around SL. I have been around here for almost 15 years now, so I have seen a lot, listened to a lot of DJs. So, in such a crowded scenario, how can this one be different? Trust me, she really is. Now, think of a highly literate person with a special sensitivity. Sense and sensibility, as in the Austen book, together in one and the same person. In my opinion, both are incredibly desirable traits when it comes to arts in general, and music is a type of arts beyond any doubt. Her range of music is so broad that, in the same session, she can make you travel from America, to Eastern Europe, then to some remote corner of the Punjab, and then to Spain (which is my country, that is why I mention it). After spending most of my life listening to world music in the radio, I can appreciate when the different pieces of music are not just thrown together in no particular order but, rather, carefully organized as to make them blend together in a perfect holistic string. Intermixed with the music, you will find occasional talking by a velvety voice that belongs to someone with a deep love for the radio, which clearly shows in her spinning tunes; something that, I have no doubt about it, is carefully prepared in advance. On top of that, this particular DJ has a swift mind, and is always willing to take part in the conversation. It may be because I am a man, and we all know how men and multitasking are believed to intermix, but seeing her perform, and interact with the attendees, all done with the utmost care, is simply amazing. There is a variety of ways in which you can check for yourself. 👉 EVENTS SUNDAYS: As of March 2022, she spins every Sunday at noon (SLT) at J&R Ballroom Aruba Deep. This event is hosted by sweet-as-honey María and Julian D'Alembert. Set in a wonderfully detailed Art-Deco ballroom that María takes care of with an amazing level of attention to detail, it is a pleasure to be there, enjoying the music, the company of truly welcoming people, in a magnificent environment. On top of that, María prepares a quiz that starts at half past 12 and that is fun and highly engaging! TUESDAYS: Violet owns a quaint little café called The Moon Rabbit Café, set in a bucolic environment that has a delicious feeling all over it. She holds a garden party there at 13:00 (SLT) where a group of friends get together, share a conversation, listen to her selected tunes, and enjoy the landscape. Definitely worth a visit. Hello Lovelies, I have recently purchased/been gifted some full permission food/drink items off of the marketplace. I'm wanting to script them with Xeolife and other scripts. I'm not sure which Xeolife affiliate scripts and/or other marketplace scripts to buy to accomplish what I want the items to do. Such as: 1. An avatar can click the food item to buy and recieve 1 slice/drink that will attach to the avatar. 2. Not inventory based. 3. Item will dissapear after it is empty/eaten. 4. One use and cannot be reset. (Going for realistic) 5. Need base item/giver to be rezzable and able to set permissions for access. (Owner, anyone, group, etc.) Thank you so much to anyone who can help me, recommend scripts, or point me in the right direction! ❤

(Photo taken at Puddles) One of the things I miss the most right now is spending Saturday morning in a coffee shop. There’s something about sipping an espresso beverage while nibbling on some kind of carb that makes me feel like all my worries have floated away and the day is filled with glorious potential. I found this video by Resident Emily Wand that really illustrates that experience. I ended up hopping around to a few different coffee shops in Second Life and without even meaning to, let out the biggest sigh of relief. I could even sense the muscles in my shoulders drop, because something about being in that environment makes me feel so relaxed. With all the Cafes & Hangouts available inworld, I encourage you to treat yourself to that feeling of “Ahh, that’s perfect” as soon as you can. There are so many good ones, each with a unique atmosphere, so I wanted to mention a few. Puddles Cafe and Lounge really hit the spot for me. This two level hangout has a super tall ceiling and a hip converted industrial loft aesthetic. Plus, prepare yourself for what I am about to say: there is a cat on a roomba. I may or may not have chased it around with a grin on my face for 15 minutes. Add the rainbow flag and Black Lives Matter sign, and I’m officially moving in. A sign says that there are group chats on Tuesdays and Fridays at 6pm SLT, so check it out! For a more rustic setting, check out Il Nido. As a cafe and wine bar, this is a great option for more of a late afternoon vibe. From my research I also discovered Bellis Blues Cafe, with DJ Stephanie every Monday from 10:00am-12:00pm. Coffee shops like Burrow Coffee & Whisky Co., which is remodeled regularly so there’s always something new, are great places to meet people and experience art, music, and the little things that make us happy. I wasn't kidding!

RE-OPENING OF - ACOUSTIC TOSCANO CAFE The Acoustic Toscano Village Cafe was born approx 4 years ago, opened to create a meeting point for the many residents living within the Acoustic group of sims that have been around since 2007. It was a great success, gaining regular visitors from all over the world, who enjoyed the chilled atmosphere and our no judgment ethos. The dance area was regularly used facing the cafe with twinkling lights and a beautiful intimate setting below the growing grape vines. We have a....no unusual avatar ‘ban’ aside nudity due to the area being moderate. Sadly we had to close two years ago, but after missing the cafe and community feel it developed, we decided recently to re-open with a fresh look, built by joint owner of Acoustic Gardens, Lynne Lundquist. She has made a lovely space for everyone to enjoy. Both residents and visitors are always welcome. Please join our group in world and FB for lots of chat and regular updates on what’s planned.
