Looking for a professional landscaper to do a full sim build for a modern fantasy adult RP sim. Below is a paragraph describing the main idea of the sim and what we want on it. Crescent or rounded shaped main island with possible smaller islands with different biomes above and below ground that is walkable. A small modern town or village and maybe some ruins incorporated. Modern feel that stemmed from fantasy and nature retaking areas. Lots of nooks and crannies to explore that elude to magic and supernatural as well as a turbulent past. A dormant volcano with some lava or fire biome and crystals and gems inside as well as old mines and caverns with bioluminescence. Desert and forest and underwater biomes as well. Adult roleplay centered with some bdsm elements included and we will be using the Unity roleplay system. Possibly some rentals in a neighborhood in the town or in a separate suburban neighborhood in the sky.

I bought a building set from a very well known creator, advertised as new promo with PBR only. I have used lots of things from him before, and all is top quality. But when I opened the pack and started to lay out the different parts, I was so disappointed. I was in the SL viewer, used the included windlight in the folder, that should be optimized for PBR. It looked like plastic, the wood deck parts and water in particular. Compared to his previous releases, where he is making awesome realistic water, this is a big step back in realism. I do not link to the product, I will not bash the creator. I can not say it is badly made, it is disappointing compared to previous purchases without PBR. But have you seen PBR in gardens, and did you like it? Could it be that the parts is set to too much shine? I seem to remember that people used materials the same way when it was new, they overexaggerated the effects. I was wondering if I should leave a review, and suggest he sold it with not- PBR textures too.- 510 replies

Good day! I'm trying to landscape an entire homestead sim with an alpine nature theme. The aim is to create a mountain landscape with open views. I have a very cool sim surround and would like the sim to blend in with that. Most nature sims I looked at are split-up into smaller area's so that you never have a view across the entire sim. Which is a fall-back scenario, but first want to try the open view. My current challenge is to find trees that do not disappear if you move away half a sim distance. With the client LOD setting maxed out, I found some that still have reasonable LI, like 4 to 5 for the bigger trees, 1 for the small. However, at a certain distance the LOD reduces in such a way that the shadows disappear, which is almost as ugly as disappearing objects. My wish is to not use too many different vendors, the one I use now has a nice seasonal HUD that I would like to use on as many objects as possible. As the sim fills up, long views will be reduced regardless of my aim, decreasing the problem intrinsically I guess. Anyway, I could use some advice ... Cheers, Bart. -
