🌍 Reflecting on an inspiring experience at the Sustainable Commodities and Land Use Forum 2024 in Amsterdam last week! It was fabulous to participate in two days of candid and urgently needed discussions on some of the most pressing themes in sustainable agriculture: from regenerative landscapes, to the opportunities and challenges of European Union Deforestation Regulations, to moving the private sector beyond just a carbon approach and towards actionable nature targets that will protect and restore biodiversity in supply chains. It is exciting to see so many global companies moving towards increased action and accountability on sustainable land use but humbling to see how much work lies ahead to transform our food systems at the speed and scale that is required to reverse planetary crises. I had the pleasure of attending with José Joaquín Campos Arce, Executive Director of the Sustainable Agriculture Network, who moderated a panel on how to address deforestation hot spots in our agricultural supply chains.🌿 A huge thanks to the Innovation Forum team for hosting such an impactful event and inviting SAN to participate. #SustainableAgriculture #SupplyChainTransformation #Naturebasedsolutions #ClimateAction #RegenerativeAgriculture #SustainableCommodities
