Less obviously shoegazey than the debut, but has a really abrasive industrial or post punk feel which contrasts well with the vocals. Reminds me of Curve or maybe early Cocteaus. Lovely stuff

Why do I love this record? it has a haunting sound with a destination. The vocals are very sweet and the riffs hook you in . The songs have a great momentem they begin at once place then end some other place and don't go in a circle . if that makes sense?

Just gorgeous. I was expecting it to be good but not this good. Emma has clearly come into her own with this release, bringing the dreaminess of Lush into her own vision. I remember buying Scar in 1989 and being blown away by it. 30+ years on and Emma is still impresing.
