Sounds like a feature request.

Any update to this Feature Request? I too would love the ability to hide the Waterfall as it does take quite a lot of 'premium' space when dealing with networking.
ja...@chromium.org <ja...@chromium.org> #7
Unfortunately the waterfall column is not implemented like a normal column and hiding it will not work without a significant refactor, so I don't have an ETA on this.
[Deleted User] <[Deleted User]> #8
That's fair enough. And there's no way to create a quicker workaround, such as changing the min-width of the Waterfall so it could at least be hidden more easily/take up less space for example? Just an idea.

Joel had a patch to fix this which he didn't end up submitting: https://chromium-review.googlesource.com/c/chromium/src/+/1612233

Waterfall can't still be hidden. So I think it's important :)

Sorry! But I think that the Waterfall column should have hide-able flag, because it's not necessary for monitoring all requests network scope and take a lot helpful viewport dev tools area. Can you reschedule your plans and add this feature or teach me how can I do it for my browser. Thanks!!

Please make it happen. In general I am only interested in other columns like the status and url. Never needed the waterfall column and it consumes much space.
za...@gmail.com <za...@gmail.com> #18
Has there been any progress on this or are there any status updates? Every time I use the Network tab, I wish I could hide the waterfall column and see more of the useful details. It would be very useful for me and productivity not having to constantly resize dev tools to alternate between seeing the website and request details.

Good news! I'm on Chrome version 115 and there is an option "Show overview" which when unchecked will hide the waterfall. 👏
ju...@gmail.com <ju...@gmail.com> #21
That is not the 'waterfall' COLUMN, that's the 'Overview' section. See attached screenshot for another visual reference.

This issue has been around for over five years, and in that time EIGHT THOUSAND PEOPLE have viewed the associated Stack Overflow question (https://stackoverflow.com/questions/49999941/how-to-disable-chrome-dev-tools-waterfall ) ... and every last one of them left without a solution.
EIGHT THOUSAND DEVELOPERS find this waterfall thing to be nothing but a waste of space, and all we're asking for is a way to remove it, so that we can see the actually relevant columns in the Network panel. Please, throw us a bone!
