CSM arranged a Senior Officers Conference in Gdańsk, Poland for the first time, led by our Chief Operating Officer Capt. Leonid Zalenski. The conference was attended by 33 participants from Poland, Georgia, Latvia, and Croatia. The two-day event was well-organised and provided a comprehensive dialogue between Top Management and our Senior Officers, allowing participants to contribute ideas towards the enhancement of overall performance. Our President and CEO Mark O'Neil joined the Conference remotely, sharing his vision to expand the number of Polish seafarers and giving updates about the company’s vision to lead the maritime industry. Kasper Nielsen, Lead EMEA region and Seafarer Engagement at the Maritime Anti-Corruption Network (MACN), also spoke at our conference, sharing MACN’s efforts to ensure the maritime industry is fighting against bribery and corruption. #ColumbiaShipmanagement #SeniorOfficers #Conference #Maritime #Shipping #Seafarers

Our President and CEO Mark O'Neil spoke on a panel at WISTA International ’s event today, where diversity took centre stage. "We feel the debate’s moved on," said Mr. O'Neil. WISTA has done phenomenal work in promoting women across the maritime industry, but today’s conversation pushed the boundaries even further — emphasising the need for greater recognition of diversity in race, religion, disability, and more. At Columbia Group, we’re committed to being part of that ongoing evolution, ensuring everyone, no matter their background, has the opportunity to succeed. #ColumbiaGroup #DiversityandInclusion

As the Columbia family continues to grow, we want to introduce the people who make up our company through our new #MeetOurPeople series. Meet Assistant Training Coordinator Christiana Asimenou, who has been working at our Cyprus office for the past 13 years since finishing her studies. ⚓ In your opinion, what is the most important thing for progress in training our crew? The most important thing for the right progress is to communicate with our crew and understand their real needs. In my opinion, it is a must to develop and support new strategies for continual improvement within our existing and new trainings. Gathering feedback from our crew on communication effectiveness and training satisfaction by surveys and new platforms play a major role for the growth of the Training Department and most of all for our Company. ⚓ Any advice for our seafarers? It's important to find ways to maintain a work-life balance. While at sea or offshore, find activities and interests that help you stay connected with yourself and your loved ones. “Self-care is not a waste of time; self-care makes your use of time more sustainable.” - Jackie Viramontez ⚓ What are your interests/hobbies outside of work? Music production is my main hobby. You can also say that I am a Documentary Junkie and a big fan of Stephen King. Stay tuned for the next edition of our #MeetOurPeople series. #ColumbiaGroup #EmployeeAppreciation
