➡️ eBOS participated in the European Cybersecurity Certification Day on October 16th, 2024, hosted by the Digital Security Authority (DSA) at the iCT Academy in Nicosia, Cyprus. Our team, led by Mr. Christos Skoufis, PMP®, CISO & Deputy Head of R&D, alongside Elisavet Grigoriou, Charalambos Klitis, Eleni Keliri (Ph.D.), Rafaella Elia, and Gianna Avgousti, engaged in insightful discussions on the European cybersecurity certification framework. Key topics included the Cybersecurity Act, European certification schemes, and the pivotal roles of European Union Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA) and national #cybersecurity authorities. ➡️ The 6th Plenary meeting of the NextGEM project took place from October 8th to 10th, 2024, in Delft, The Netherlands, hosted by Delft University of Technology and De Haagse Hogeschool / The Hague University of Applied Sciences THUAS. eBOS was represented by Nicolas Louca, R&D Project Manager, alongside over 30 participants from 21 organizations to review the significant progress made across all work packages. Discussions focused on advancements in the NextGEM Innovation and Knowledge Hub (NIKH), scientific research, experimental use cases, and outreach activities such as dissemination, communication, and IPR management. Attendees also toured cutting-edge research facilities at TU Delft and THUAS. As a key partner, eBOS leads efforts in quality assurance, exploitation, IPR management, and project outreach. eBOS also develops the NIKH front-end dashboard and oversees the outreach Work Package, ensuring the project's innovations are effectively communicated and maximising its impact through strategic dissemination and stakeholder engagement. ➡ The FLEXI-cross project partner, eBOS, successfully hosted the 6th plenary meeting in Cyprus at the Classic Hotel in Nicosia from October 2nd to 3rd, 2024. The FLEXI-cross project focuses on developing and continuously validating a toolkit of cutting-edge border control solutions in real-world operational environments. These solutions aim to enhance the security and reliability of border checks for both people and goods, while improving the overall efficiency of border management. A key highlight of the meeting was a roundtable discussion on integration, which has become a critical focus. As the leader of the integration task, eBOS provided an update on the installation and configuration of the integration server, as well as the deployment of all modules and the coordination between different infrastructures and the integration environment. ➡️ On October 2nd and 3rd 2024, the project SAFE-6G, entitled ‘Smart and Adaptive Framework for Enhancing Trust in 6G Networks’, held its 3rd physical plenary meeting in Athens, Greece, hosted by the University of West of Attica. SAFE-6G aims to design, develop, and validate a 6G-ready native trustworthiness framework by enabling user-centric #safety, #security, #privacy, #resilience, and #reliability functions. Towards this vision Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning techniques will be utilised to cognitively coordinate and balance these functions, in order to optimize the Level of Trust (LoT) that each user/tenant/human role specifies, a feature that is considered an essential Key Value Indicator (KVI) for user-centric 6G. eBOS’ role in the project is to design and develop an open-source Software Defined Perimeter (SDP) stack that emphasizes strong network security and safety, tailored to seamlessly function with SAFE-6G’s proposed user-centric 6G Packet Core. The developed SDP will protect infrastructure nodes and ensure the availability of relevant microservices to specific users, creating new opportunities and capabilities for the telecommunication industry.
