    🧐 Curious about CYDGX, appearing next to the PHILOSHOPIC brand name? CYDGX, which stands for Cyprus Digital Goods eXchange, was an idea for a project by one of our cofounders – i.e., to create a marketplace where multiple digital products distributors and retailers could share inventory when they ran out of stock of certain digital goods. So, the company was originally registered as CYDGX LIMITED. Eventually this ended being just the legal name as the vision of the company was way beyond such a service and the brand name PHILOSHOPIC was far more representative and got established! #ourstory #ourbrand #PHILOSHOPIC

PHILOSHOPIC, PHILO- from the Greek prefix φιλο-, the first compound of words indicating preference or love for what is defined in the second compound. SHOPIC refers to the verb shop, with the suffix -ic attached to form an adjective meaning of or relating to. One of the most common words using this prefix is “philosophy” - which originates from the Greek word philosophia (φιλοσοφία) - meaning “love of wisdom”.
