Our latest #WGStories post is all about Ralph Pineda, Senior Social Media Manager for World of Tanks PC. Ralph's story is one of being treasured as an employee and deeply caring for both colleagues and applicants. He comes as he is and welcomes others to do the same. Ralph's journey at Wargaming began in 2018, when he joined as a Global Employer Branding Specialist. His path was not direct—he took up another opportunity in the industry in late 2021, but following a restructuring he returned in summer 2023 to enter his current position. Losing a job and searching for a new one is tough, but Wargaming was wholly ready to support a trusted friend, and his colleagues were overjoyed to see him back. Ralph's career ethos is to keep pushing forward. Finding work in gaming can be hard, but never giving up can lead you to where you want to be. In his words, "Sometimes it feels like you're not getting closer to your goal, but you are. If you want to be an artist, keep on making art. It'll get better. You'll build up a portfolio." He values the incentive of university students who reach out to him, recognizing that every voice counts and every passion matters. To those just starting off in their careers, Ralph's main advice is to be kind to recruiters and to connect with them. He says, "They're the ones that are championing you, getting your resumes out to the hiring team, and they're really trying to get you that job. So be kind to them." How has caring and being cared for shaped your career path? Let us know in the comments 👇

Meet Valeriia Dodonova, Operations Manager at Wargaming Kyiv. This is her story of taking on a challenge by running the Kyiv Half Marathon for a great cause. Together with her colleagues, Valeriia ran to raise funds for medical aid after applying to participate within the Kyiv studio. Before this, running was just a hobby, but the team energy and the right cause inspired her to push boundaries and become an extraordinary runner. She started training more seriously, pushing her limits with every step. Valeriia now runs three times a week, and running is her secret spice for both professional and private growth. Valeriia’s story is one of passion. For her, running offers both mental clarity and a path to self-improvement. She is always ready to rise above, knowing that trying something new—regardless of the outcome—brings you closer to success. Val's experience reminds us of how diverse interests, passion, unique approaches, and support from our team all help us grow in every aspect of life. Diversity is not just about backgrounds—it's also about how we view our path to success and how we tackle challenges. How do your interests or passions drive you at work?
