Today, we're thrilled to celebrate Martin Vyšný, our Associate Director, on his 8th work anniversary at CBRE! Martin's career in CBRE began even before he completed his master's degree at the University of Economics in Prague. Starting in our Research department, he believes it was the best foundation for moving into Valuation, as it provided him with a comprehensive overview of the market. What makes Martin's work so fulfilling after eight years with us? "What I enjoy most about my work is the variety," says Martin. "To value a property, you need to know and discover so many things. This means collaborating across all departments—Agency, Investment, ESG, Property Management, Legal, and even Accounting. It's also about stepping into the client's shoes and building a genuine relationship. When a client returns satisfied, wanting to value more properties or simply seeking advice, it truly makes my day." When he's not making strides at work, Martin recharges through sports activities like cycling and running. He's also passionate about cars—from driving to detailing. We are excited to celebrate Michal Fico, our Key Account Manager, as he marks 12 years with CBRE! Over the years, Michal has consistently demonstrated his expertise and passion for property management. Starting in a small shopping centre in Karviná, he now oversees large logistics parks, industrial buildings, and retail spaces. His 15 years of experience, including time spent in the construction industry abroad, make him an invaluable part of our team. Throughout his career, Michal has managed a diverse range of properties for some of the well-known companies, such as CBRE GI, Standard Life, CBRE IM, TRIGEA, Nemovitostní fond, and Cromwell Property Group. He excels at building strong relationships with clients and tenants, always seeking ways to enhance both the technical and environmental performance of the properties he manages. His dedication to sustainability is evident in projects like greywater recycling, biodiversity protection, and eco-friendly developments. One of Michal's recent successes was leading a project that earned BREEAM Excellent certification for a logistics park in Ostrava. This achievement was the result of three years of hard work alongside his colleagues. As part of the project, they also launched a rooftop photovoltaic power plant (FVE), boosting the site’s energy efficiency. Outside of work, he enjoys time with his family of four children, caring for sheep and chickens on his farm, and relaxing at his mountain cottage. Congratulations, Michal! This thriving business, which operates one of the largest online bookstores in Europe with 17 e-shops across 25 countries in the European Union, has expanded its footprint with an additional 430 sqm of logistics and warehouse space, bringing its total leased area to 1,360 sqm.   👏 Congratulations to Libristo and our colleagues Jarmila Svobodová, Team Leader, who expertly negotiated the lease terms, and Tomáš Peterka, Head of Facility Management, who managed the technical aspects of the space revitalization.   We're grateful for the collaboration with Eva Kavinová and Martina Baletkova from Libristo for their valuable contributions throughout the process.   💡 Did you know?
