Last week, our Prague HQ team took on the challenge of building IKEA furniture. Why? As volunteers, they supported the Czech non-profit organization Sto skupin, which aims to improve the quality of preschool education in the Czech Republic. With the NGO set to open a new preschool daycare centre just around the corner from our HQ, it was a perfect opportunity for our team to volunteer. What a day it was, assembling everything from the tiniest chairs to large wardrobes, and seeing the great results afterwards! Thank you to everyone involved, and we look forward to the next volunteering opportunity. #volunteering

We have just published our first-ever Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Report, evaluating 2023. With this report, ComAp is ready for the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS), which will come into effect in two years. We have closely analysed our performance in relation to sustainability, conducted double-materiality analyses, ESG-related risk analysis, and carbon footprint calculation, and set targets and ambitions for the future. “We are very pleased to have undertaken this report on our Environmental, Social and Governance performance. We believe that it not only serves as an insight into the next steps for the progression of the company but also offers our partners and stakeholders the opportunity to learn with us and join our efforts for the future of environmental sustainability,” says Frederic Deman, ComAp´s CEO. He adds, "One of our key strategies is to empower our customers in their initiatives to decarbonise.” As a result of our findings and the data contained within this report, we have set realistic yet ambitious targets for Scope 1 and 2 emissions, while outlining further objectives to decarbonise Scope 3. Additionally, we have established our priorities for upcoming years, focusing on decarbonisation efforts, integrating ESG principles into all company processes at every level, and continually improving the accuracy of our data to support our data-driven approach. Hybrid Seminar for our German Customers in Pforzheim   Recently, we conducted a Hybrid Seminar for selected customers at our German subsidiary in Pforzheim. During this three-day event, we aimed to provide customers with a broader outlook on our hybrid microgrid solutions, discuss how to plan and execute microgrid projects, and demonstrate how ComAp can support them at every stage of their projects. “It was great to discuss and also learn from our prestigious customers. For us, it’s important not only to understand the current project requirements but also to identify the pain points where we can improve. We aimed to understand how we can better serve our customers and work with them to anticipate upcoming market trends in EMS, control, and monitoring, so we are ready for the market’s future needs,” says Deep Sundaram, ComAp’s Sales Manager for Hybrid Microgrids. Are you prepared for the latest threats in power generation? The internet offers an endless list of advantages and opportunities. In power generation, it primarily enables remote monitoring of installations. Unfortunately, it also introduces new threats in the form of cyber attacks. As the grid topology shifts to a decentralised network, the importance of security continues to grow. While large power plants typically have robust cybersecurity measures in place, smaller sources may not be as well-protected. Attacking a group of these smaller sources could destabilise the network, potentially leading to a domino effect. Are your installations ready for cyber threats?
