Last week I got the opportunity to chair the two-day conference "3rd Annual ESG Real Estate and Data Management Forum" in Stockholm, arranged by Evintel. As the chairman you must listen extra carefully to the lecturers and panel discussions. Rewarding indeed!   Key subjects were #sustainability (People, Planet, Profit) and the use of #data as to be able to require real/better insights, create benchmarks, follow up, report, analyse, collect proof and more.   Specific topics covered were #CSRD, #ESG regulations, utilities data collection, data reliability, transparency, the power of #digitization, EU #Taxonomy, #decarbonisation, #biodiversity, case studies, social impact end more.   It is amazing the way data is becoming key in almost everything and how many software solutions that pop up delivering value to different stakeholders. We at Prodikt and BIMobject are lucky, I mean skilled, that we are in this field then! ♻️ Great days at the ESG Reporting & Sustainability Data Summit in Paris. From cases on data-driven decision-making to discussions on digital’s role in achieving decarbonization, it got highlighted how technology is helping businesses create lasting societal impact. As I last year wrote my on my dissertation on AI & Circular Economy at The University of Edinburgh, it was inspiring to now hear from business leaders how AI is transforming ESG reporting and accelerating progress toward sustainability goals. I left feeling more motivated than ever to explore how AI and data can drive sustainable change and make a difference in the world. 🦾🌎

Over the past few days, I have attended together with Mariana Sandoval Ulloa, Evintel's 3rd Annual Enterprise ESG Reporting & Sustainability Data Summit. I saw inspiring cases of #finance and #sustainability teams fostering collaboration and using #CSRD as a lever to review impacts and operations, and to have controlled and reliable data as a basis for a well-informed ESG strategy. 

Such an interesting approach from Samuele Crippa last Friday. I attended the 3rd Annual Enterprise ESG Reporting & Sustainability Data Summit organized by Evintel Having studied international business I was passionate about a few years ago, I found it impressive to see how Demant tackles the complexities of supplier relationships to navigate European ESG directives and regulations with such care and effort. What stood out most was the evolving dynamic in these relationships. While traditionally the client held the power, today there’s a greater need for collaboration and investment on both sides. With ESG regulations making global supply chains more intricate, smooth cooperation is key to gathering the necessary data for European market compliance. Samuele’s presentation on Supplier Screening & Maturity Level and Boosting Cultural Sensitivity in Scope 3 was particularly insightful:  • Prioritizing suppliers responsible for 80% of Scope 3 emissions  • Evaluating GHG management and sustainability maturity  • Adapting communication and processes to different cultural contexts As ESG requirements continue to grow, fostering strong supplier relationships seems more essential than ever for ensuring compliance and sustaining international operations. 🌟 Reflecting on an Inspiring Evintel ESG Paris Event 🌟   From thought-provoking sessions to engaging discussions on the future of sustainability, AI, and data—featuring insights from organizations like Edenred, L'Oréal, BNP Paribas, Crédit Agricole CIB, DHL Supply Chain, ABN AMRO Bank N.V., Essity, Leroy Merlin, Bayer kShuttle Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) EcoVadis. It united professionals from Sustainability, Finance, IT, and Procurement to share their views on decarbonization goals.   Key Lessons Learned: - Establish a clear, shared definition of digital sustainability across departments. Change management is key. - Use ESG reporting as a continuous improvement tool for investors. Innovate business models to pivot reporting toward value creation. - Enhance ESG data management: choose a tool that improves your reporting process, supports your decarbonization journey, and implements your strategy across all sustainability pillars. - Understand AI's role, particularly in light of the new EU AI Act.
