At Twisto, I've learned that there's no shame in not knowing something and asking questions, as long as you're learning and growing from it. 🧐 If you could divide something in your life into thirds, what would it be? We asked our Polish customers how financially challenging the start of the school year is for them. And we found out that it’s really tough. 73% of Polish parents face financial difficulties, big or small, due to school expenses. 91% of parents consider the cost when choosing after-school activities for their children. 29% of parents take out loans to cover school expenses, and 13% are considering it for the first time this year. After-school activities, new shoes, a backpack, and other school supplies—September requires parents to spend a lot of money all at once on essential items. We understand that it’s a very challenging time. Expenses at the beginning of the school year exhaust Czech families. A survey commissioned by Twisto confirmed that the end of August and the beginning of September is one of the most financially demanding periods of the year for Czech parents. 57% of parents experience financial difficulties, 12% even very significantly. Many parents seek help from family or friends, or use credit cards to cover costs. 8% take out a loan to pay for extracurricular activities or school-related expenses. The survey also revealed the significant impact of finances on the choice of extracurricular activities for children. An overwhelming 79% of parents consider the cost, with 16% stating that the price is absolutely crucial in deciding whether to enroll their child in a particular activity, according to Jan Fisar, Head of Marketing at Twisto, in an interview on Hlavní zprávy on CNN Prima NEWS.
