Bienvenue - Shroom Ft Grifton Forbes-Amos
Benjamin Bienvenue Stelly, PKA Bienvenue is a British producer, multi instrumentalist & vocalist. Taking the middle name 'Bienvenue', passed down from his Louisianan/Ca- jun heritage. The EP ‘Mosquito’ formed a glue for London’s music scenes, taking inspi- ration from live jams in the city but merging with the electronic side of Bienvenue’s sound. It found support in it’s first week of release, championed by Tom Robinson on BBC Radio 6 and Worldwide FM.
Shroom mixes dirty and classy effortlessly and with grace. You'll be dutty skanking one minute and the next, taken into what feels like a futuristic ball room setting filled with dreamy trumpets. Shroom then drops back into the Bruk and serenades you out with a catchy lead.
Ishfaq - Wonderjazz
Ishfaq featured on Body Music Vol 1 in 2019 and we welcome him back with a killer Jazz House track for 2024! Grab yourself a mulled wine before Ishfaq takes you skiing down the alps as a cold blooded secret agent. This Jazzy upbeat dance track has a real catchy guitar lick with cheeky little breaks and hits with a certain sophistication. Lovely piano chords and relentless Dubby double Bass that keeps this track chugging along.
XL REGULAR - Tiago's Joint
We been clocking this dope Italian producer for a minute and this is that classic broken sound with all the bells and whistles. Stabs, a scattered bassline, Jazzy keys, definitive Synths, vocal ululations and sound system MC. The solid Beat is just enough to carry the heavy presence of jazzz.
CENGIZ - MOTF
This fast paced live sounding Jazz track makes you wanna cut shapes from the off! You'll be entranced by the skippy drums and you’ll find yourself dancing to the flute line as if the pied piper was playing. Check the saxophone solo drop from Claudio Marrero Santana, taking the track on an unexpected twist showcasing Cengiz’ playful arrangement!
Hiki - Pijero
From New Zealand, Hiki, brand new to the DR Family is definitely one to watch! Amaz- ing clean production with enough Jazz, Bruk and Soul influence to take you on a musi- cal journey and keep you locked from start to finish.
Gumsoul - Squish
Nourishing percussive goodness out of Birmingham. Great set starter or settler. Dreamy almost spooky cinematic vibe. We loved this when we heard it the first time via Gumsouls Instagram and was the animations he cut to them that caught our attention too!
Lavan & Corsica One - The Only Master I know
When you’re hustling the 9-5 life to pay for rent, food & new records, music is what gets you through. One day, having shared a meaningful track on instant messaging at the office, came a pleasant surprise when discovering another individual lurking in the woodworks who was passionate about the same sounds. This is how the duo LXC1 (Lavan X Corsica One) was formed. Playing on their musical strengths LXC1 are creating a new energy combining Parisian finesse with some of that Berlin dance-floor ooomph. Taking shape somewhere between broken beat, soul, house and disco these are not your average productions, but rather a very fresh style.
Be your own master is the lesson here but let Lavan & Corsica One out in Berlin, take you on a Rhodes filled musical journey lead by a soulful tone in spoken word. There are stabs, twists and turns with a pure broken sound not to be diluted. A future classic for sure !
Fragile Egos - Hooligans
New to the label from South London it’s Fragile Egos. Introduced to us by Trev who said he sounds a bit like if Flako made Bruk, we were intrigued straight away! Don’t be disillusioned by the floaty dreamy start of this track as it drops into a hard stepping Bruk march with flourishing synth lines to keep you on your toes. There's something that's quite majestic about this track and it also touches Ama piano vibes in the breakdown.
You've found Dance Regular! The all killer and no filler record label from EVM128 and James Rudie, Alumni of CoOp presents

2 killer tracks from the man who does not disappoint ! "Rude" is the word for "Sitting On a Speaker" but I also like the Rhodes / Drums combination on "Keyboard Worrier" Don Pascal
