This is always a tough time for everyone involved. A restructure creates an enormous amount of uncertainty and stress. Firstly, the executive needs to be clear on their role in the restructure, what needs to be done and how it impacts their team. Because the reality is, they need to look focused and keep people focused regardless. The 2nd thing is making sure they are keeping their personal wellbeing habits and non-negotiables in place. This stuff needs energy. The 3rd thing is keeping on top of their one-to-one's. Making sure they don't get so sucked into the transition stuff that they forget about their people. I don't mean just work stuff - asking about them and how they really are.

Spend time connecting with the folks who do the work. Become part of their world to understand what’s really going on. Become hyper curious to lean more of their thoughts/ worries/ concerns
