21X announces collaboration with Dfns to enable institutional-grade digital asset management for its participants  21X has today announced a strategic collaboration with Dfns, a digital asset wallet infrastructure and custody technology platform.  The collaboration will combine 21X’s expertise in developing a fully regulated DLT-based trading infrastructure with Dfns’ innovative digital asset wallet platform. Under the terms of the strategic partnership, Dfns will provide a fully-fledged solution for institutional clients and participants of 21X to manage and custody digital assets and tokenized financial instruments. This includes robust private key management, wallets-as-a-service (WaaS), authentication, identity and access management for users, transaction management for trading participants, and smart contract interaction capabilities for issuers. The advanced technology of Dfns can seamlessly interact with the smart contract-based venue of 21X, offering participants and issuers unparalleled security and control over their digital assets. 21X will leverage Dfns’ technology to create a comprehensive ecosystem for digital assets, enabling issuers, brokers, and financial institutions to access its European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA)-regulated market infrastructure. The partnership aims to accelerate the adoption of digital assets by providing a secure and compliant platform for trading and settlement. 21X appoints Stella Minareci as Head of Finance and Risk 21X has announced the appointment of Stella Minareci as Head of Finance and Risk. With 15 years of experience in the finance world, Minareci will be a strong addition to the 21X business, as both financial and risk management are vital components to the company meeting the highest regulatory demands as it looks to secure its license to run Europe’s first fully regulated #DLT exchange. Based in Munich, Minareci joins 21X from State Street, where she was Assistant Vice President for eight years, responsible for the full gamut of financial activities including financial analysis, liquidity management, cash flow forecasting and #riskmanagement. On joining the company, Minareci stated: "I'm thrilled to join 21X at such a pivotal time. My experience in risk management and regulatory compliance will help in the process of  building our secure and efficient trading platform in Europe. I will ensure that market participants can be confident that 21X is committed to the highest standards of transparency and risk management, as they seek to take advantage of our digital exchange and market infrastructure for tokenized assets." Max Heinzle, CEO of 21X, adds: "Stella's expertise in complex financial operations and risk management means she will be  a key member of our team as we work towards securing our license and launch the first fully regulated DLT exchange in Europe. Her appointment signals our commitment to attracting the best talent in the industry." Previous roles for Minareci include Senior Associate at FMS Wertmanagement AöR; Senior Associate at Deutsche Pfandbriefbank AG; and Senior Associate at KPMG. In addition to skills in financial accounting, she brings a wealth of other experience, including technical accounting, strategic thinking and finance transformation. In March 2023, 21X applied for a license to operate a DLT trading and settlement system in accordance with the European Union’s DLT regime. Following close cooperation with both ESMA and BaFin over the past 12 months, the company is hopeful of meeting all the requirements necessary to secure its license in the near future. Max Heinzle to attend Point Zero Forum in Zurich and participate in SBIDM workshop 21X CEO, Max Heinzle, is heading back to Zurich next week for the first two days of the Point Zero Forum (1-3 July). This key event, run by Elevandi and the Swiss State Secretariat for International Finance SIF, fosters dialogue on policy and technology in financial services. The Forum gathers central bankers, regulators, policymakers, and industry leaders to discuss advancements in financial technology and the future of finance. 21X is particularly excited as Max has been invited by SBI Digital Markets (SBIDM) to participate in its workshop, titled ‘Unlocking global liquidity: Cross-border distribution for real world assets’. It will take place on Tuesday, 2 July, 5:00pm - 5:30pm at Workshop Room 2 (Level 3), The Circle Convention Centre at Zurich Airport. The 30-minute workshop will feature short updates from each participant, followed by audience discussion and a Q&A session. Workshop participants comprise: Winston Quek, the SBIDM workshop host; Max will introduce 21X, Europe's digital exchange for listing and trading securities; David Schmid from CAT Financial Products AG ; Marco Kessler will introduce SDX AG; and finally, Heejin Shin, from Kyobo Securities. Following the short introduction by each participant, there will be an overview of each company’s relationship with SBIDM, and the role each plays within SBIDM’s ecosystem in term of cross border distribution, listing and trading of tokenised alternatives.
