Typically, the next consumer's vehicle purchase decision depends on how effectively brands can play around pricing, product quality, and performance. According to Deloitte’s recent study, vehicle features are now also a major purchase driver, especially in markets like Germany, India, and Japan. Consumers look for brands that can deliver connected in-car experiences that enrich daily driving routines and provide them extra value, whether by being more productive or simply entertaining and surprising. Consumers are more willing to pay for features like real-time maintenance updates, traffic safety alerts, and advanced in-car entertainment. OEMs can capitalize on this by bundling connected services within car features, as well as external streaming subscriptions, creating new revenue streams and driving higher customer satisfaction.
