ADVANSA's new filling fibre ‘Suprelle® & Hemp’ offers natural, breathable comfort for bedding. Hemp is one of the oldest and most versatile useful plants in the world. It was used in many areas of life in Europe as early as 5500 years ago, while in China it has long been known for its durable fibres and nourishing seeds. Today, hemp is experiencing a boost, especially in the textile industry, thanks to its sustainable, breathable and durable properties. Hemp is considered an environmentally friendly alternative as it grows quickly, requires little water and can be grown without excessive use of pesticides. With its resilience and ability to absorb up to 70% more moisture than cotton without feeling damp against the skin, hemp is the ideal choice for breathable, durable and sustainable bedding.   ADVANSA's new filling fibre ‘Suprelle® & Hemp’ is ecologically designed. Innovative and exceptionally comfortable, it is made entirely from recycled materials and is 100% recyclable. ADVA®terra enhances the comfort of duvets, pillows, and mattresses while optimizing their end-of-life, thereby contributing to the reduction of plastic and microplastic pollution in the environment. ADVA®terra fibres offer a unique combination of durability and biodegradability. Made entirely from 100% recycled PET flakes sourced from plastic bottles, ADVA®terra fibres are also fully recyclable. While recycling is certainly the preferred end of life solution, unfortunately, mass textile recycling is not available today and most textiles thrown away when no longer wanted, piling up in landfills.  In the absence of recycling options, or if fibres escape into the environment, contrary to standard synthetic fibres which last for hundreds of years, these fibres will break down in specific environments such as landfills or marine settings, thereby helping to reduce plastic and microplastic pollution.
