💡"Electricity is a matter of life and death." … says Dr. Manda, who works at the health center in Mahasolo, our second ImpactSite in Madagascar. The health center currently has a small solar power system, but the outdated technology and insufficient battery capacity mean frequent power outages. This results in the loss of vaccines and creates extremely challenging conditions for both Dr. Manda and his patients. 🤝Together with our partners Polarstern GmbH and Sustainable Energy for All (SEforALL) we are empowering the 12,000 inhabitants of Mahasolo with 100 % renewable energy through our Solartainer® Kani with 148 kWp solar park and 171 kWh battery storage. 💪🏾The health center and the three public schools in Mahasolo will be connected and supplied with reliable solar energy free of charge for one year, thanks to our partners from Polarstern GmbH and ebl-naturkost GmbH & Co. KG. #RunUpdate from Fritz Sitte Since March 2024, Fritz has been attempting to set a world record by crossing the African continent on foot, covering 11,000 km from Cape Town to Cairo—essentially running an ultra marathon every day. His only support comes from his brother Max, who follows by bicycle, organizing food and shelter ahead of time when he's not riding alongside him. Africa GreenTec has been an official partner from the beginning, backing Fritz on his journey and coordinating friends and Olympic sports enthusiasts to occasionally run alongside him. Despite facing challenges and closed borders that required frequent plan changes and rerouting, Fritz and Max have successfully completed another stage of their journey and are excited to share this milestone with you. “Hey everyone, We've made it to Morocco after some of the toughest days of our lives running through the Sahara desert of Mauritania. Now there's just over 2,000 km left before we reach the end of November. Arnel successfully studied engineering with a specialisation in renewable energy at a polytechnic university in northern Madagascar. Arnel joined Africa GreenTec because the company's tasks and activities perfectly matched his studies and allowed him to apply what he had learnt at university in a way that was meaningful to him. What he really loves about working at Africa GreenTec is the collaborative environment.
