Get to know our team! 📣    As part of our “Get to know the Agile Robots team” series, we would like to introduce Moeez Aziz to you.    Moeez, who was born and raised in Pakistan, holds a master’s degree in Management and a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. He has been with Agile Robots for nearly a year, working as a Software Developer with the Quality Assurance team.     As he joined us early in his career, Moeez initially felt uncertain about his technical skills. However, his confidence quickly grew once he met the team and began working on his first projects.    “The exposure and responsibility I received made me quickly realize my level of ability and gave me a boost of confidence. Anytime I run into a blocker, I have so many smart and supportive people to help me. Most of the time that is exactly what you need: a nudge in the right direction” explains Moeez enthusiastically.    Moeez continues to provide the team with valuable expertise as a Software Developer in Quality Assurance, where he writes, maintains, and implements automated tests to ensure the quality standards for our software platform, AgileCore. He finds motivation in seeing his code come to life and in working with cutting-edge technologies and robots every day.    Apart from playing foosball with his colleagues, he enjoys reading, swimming, hiking and travelling. He also finds pleasure in occasionally playing video games, riding his bike or watching documentaries about ancient history and archaeology. Whenever Moeez feels stuck in his routine, he takes the opportunity to enroll in online courses to enhance his skills or improve his German language proficiency.    #automation #robotics #engineering #softwaredeveloper #ai #qualityassurance 

Our Yu 5 Industrial is now available on DELMIA. The platform equips programmers with the necessary tools to simulate, validate, and optimize robotic tasks, estimate cycle times, and refine manufacturing processes – all without the need to physically set up the robot. Now that our robot’s digital twin is available, users can directly experience the capabilities of the Yu 5 Industrial in different virtual industrial settings. After a successful simulation, the robot can then get straight to work.  That saves time, energy and increases overall efficiency. #DELMIA #PLM #digitaltwin #manufacturing

“I did not become a programmer during the course - but the intuitive use of the Yu 5 Industrial proved that it wasn't necessary either.”      That’s how Henner Brandes, Communications Specialist at Agile Robots, describes his experience with programming the Yu 5 Industrial in one of our recent blog posts.      He attended a training course to get acquainted with the robot and soon learned how to program and execute various simple industrial applications. Get to know our team! 📣   While we usually focus on our innovative solutions, we are also excited to shine the spotlight on our dedicated employees. Through the “Get to know the Agile Robots team” series, we would like to introduce the team behind our cutting-edge technology.     Meet Niklas Hollstegge:    Niklas, born in Münster, Germany and a Mechatronics (M. Sc.) graduate from TU Hamburg, recently joined Agile Robots as the Machine Vision & Algorithms Team Lead.     With many years of experience in mobile robotics and autonomous driving, he brings a wealth of expertise to his new role. Niklas appreciates the excellent office culture and the opportunity to work with highly skilled colleagues in a diverse range of applications and project opportunities.      Transitioning from Motion Planning for autonomous driving to Machine Vision for industrial robots presented a challenging domain change in the first weeks; however, Niklas quickly overcame the hurdle by learning from his team and undergoing online and offline training to enhance his knowledge of vision methods and algorithms.    Outside of the office, Niklas enjoys various sports such as soccer, racket sports (tennis, badminton, squash), golf, kitesurfing, darts, and playing piano. As if this does not sound busy enough, he leverages his vacation days for as many adventurous travels as possible.   #automation #robotics #engineering #machinevision #ai

Summer is finally here! ☀    And we at Agile Robots welcomed it with open arms. Next Generation low-cost prosthetics:    Amputees often face exclusion and isolation due to bodily limitations and societal stigma. Prostheses offer independence and integration into society, but limited access and acceptance are challenges.     This is why our Design Team was happy to have recently supported the Master Thesis project by Heinrich Zaunschirm which aimed to enhance prosthetic accessibility, functionality, and acceptance through collaboration with users and stakeholders.     The final concept combines electric and mechanical prosthetic advantages in a low-cost, customizable design using 3D-printing technology to reduce costs and manual labor.     As part of UID24 Degree show at Umeå Institute of Design, our team also had a chance to present Agile Robots on stage alongside companies such as Apple, Google, Volvo and many more to showcase the potential of Design, AI and robotics to the Design Community. 💡   #Technology #InnovativeDesign #Prosthetics #3DPrinting #AI
