In aluminium casting, Handtmann is a strategic system partner particularly for the automotive industry. With over 2,000 employees, we are the largest German aluminium casting foundry that is still family-owned. The international company with head office in Biberach an der Riss can make optimal use of the synergy effects between the areas of light metal casting and systems. The Handtmann production sites in Biberach (DE), Annaberg (DE), Košice (SK), Kechnec (SK) and Tianjin (CN) produce complex aluminium high-pressure die cast parts on systems with closing forces of up to 6,100 MN.
Some of the – in their category – intriguingly light Handtmann products of recent years include pioneering ICE, structural and chassis components. For the benefit of our customers, we have invested in transformation at a very early stage, so that PHEV, BEV and fuel cell
components made by Handtmann have long been standard. We now assist customers in their transformation, providing knowledge, suitable strategies and processes.

We were able to successfully complete another milestone with regard to upcoming series production on the 6,100 t #megacasting machine with the delivery and installation of the trimming press. The hydraulic press from the manufacturer ABK Pressenbau Aulbach Automation GmbH is designed to meet the requirements for large die-cast components. With a load weight of around 60 tons, the extra-wide transport had to overcome a number of challenges on the way to Biberach. With a clamping area of approximately 3 x 3 meters and a pressing force of 300 tons, this press is tailored to Handtmann's requirements profile. #handtmann #ideasforthefuture #megacasting #automotive

Successful process acceptance at our production site in China We are proud to be part of our customer's supplier family for new #developments and to be able to accompany the steps to transfer to series #production. The Supplier Quality Engineers audited the processes for three days checked the complete process flow required to manufacture a product, documented deviations and defined measures. The newly invested, state-of-the-art processing and #assembly line was particularly highlighted. The #audit was completed successfully - a big thank you to everyone involved!
