Handtmann announces new components in light metal casting As part of the Global Gigacasting Congress currently taking place in Kassel, we announced the production of further components in vehicle manufacturing using megacasting. Following the first components for the battery area, rear doors, front and rear ends are now also being planned. Supporting research in artifical intelligence for production 💡 The university of applied sciences in Ulm (THU) has established a professorship in Artificial Intelligence for production to expand research in this field. Prof. Dr. Michel Börner, an expert in industrial AI applications, has been appointed to the position. Handtmann ski trip ⛷️ Last saturday, around 184 employees spent a day skiing together in Mellau-Damüls, Austria. The Handtmann ski trip is very popular with our colleagues every year. As a family-owned company, Handtmann wants to take on social responsibility. After our first visit at Tianjin Children’s Welfare Institute back in May 2024, Handtmann Light Metal Foundry (Tianjin) Co., Ltd. donated essential items such as clothing, toys and educational materials.  Now, Dirk Seckler (Managing Director Handtmann Light Metal Casting and Systems Engineering) and Alex Yuan (General Manager Handtmann Light Metal Foundry (Tianjin) Co., Ltd.) decided to personally donate stationery and daily necessities to the children in Tianjin Children’s Welfare Institute.
