The running system is at our booth D49, hall 11.1 at Formnext - Where ideas take shape. PTC purchased the AMCM M 290-2 FLX, equipped with everything the modular system can offer. Full-field scanning while offering a variable laser spot from 85 µm Gaussian to 210 µm Donut shape: 👉 Change the spot size in milliseconds within the same geometry 👉 Higher build rate speeds in bulkier areas while quickly switching to a finer spot where better detail or surface finish is required 👉 Wider and shallower melt pool with a more uniform temperature distribution 👉 Faster printing with improved process stability 👉 Optimized exposure parameters 👉 Reducing the formation of soot and spatter 👉 Offering a full field overlap - both scanners can reach all areas on the build plate 👉 Compared to a standard single 400 W laser process with 85 µm spot size, a single nLIGHT exposure process is at least 2 times faster in addition to having the same mechanical and surface properties.
