Sport and business: strong together What do top-class sport and business have in common? At the ANNA+Cie 2024 Alumni Meeting at the new DFB Campus and Deutsche Sporthilfe, it became clear how much both fields can learn from each other. Both worlds are about connecting people and pursuing big goals: perseverance, determination, and dealing with setbacks are crucial – whether on the pitch or in professional life. The inspiring stories of athletes such as Doris Fitschen, Lena Lotzen, Florian Götte, and Christiane Reppe showed us how to overcome challenges with "positive relentlessness." We were particularly moved by the DFB's commitment to women's sport under the leadership of Heike Ullrich. Fortunately, the days when world champions received a coffee set as a title bonus are long gone! The visit to Deutsche Sporthilfe was another highlight. It became clear how important close cooperation between sport and business is – both during and after a sporting career. Top athletes need a network that supports them even after their careers are over. A big thank you to the inspiring ANNA alumni!
