🚢 Can shipowners use autopilots to reduce fuel consumption and emissions? The answer is yes. #Anschuetz #autopilots offer a range of features that can result in fuel savings of up to 4%. 🌊🌍 ✅ Vessels with twin rudders benefit from the Toe Angle function in the NautoPilot 5400NX. Toe Angle optimises the individual rudder angles on twin rudder vessels. This reduces rudder resistance in the wake field. This means less power and fuel is needed to maintain the same speed. ✅ The NautoPilot 5300NX and 5400NX offer an ECO mode. When ECO mode is activated, the autopilot automatically adapts to changes in sea conditions and load. The result is less rudder movement and therefore less fuel consumption. All Anschütz autopilots also have an Integrated Heading and Rudder Plot. This is a very simple and intuitive way to check and optimise the efficiency of the steering. #Anschuetz has successfully completed the extensive expansion and modernisation of its compass production for the #Standard22NX #gyrocompass. One of the most modern production facilities in the maritime industry is now equipped to produce more than 5,000 compass sensors and gyrospheres per year, ensuring reliable supply to meet the demand for Standard 22 NX products for new ships, refits and after-sales. In addition to the modernisation, the expansion of the production facility involved various adjustments to processes and layouts, several rebuilds and the acquisition of state-of-the-art, automated, high-precision machinery. The compass itself has also been re-examined and optimised for reliability and robustness. Today, the Anschütz Standard 22 NX is the most popular gyrocompass of all time. It is characterised by high accuracy and excellent value for money throughout its service life.
