In 2023, our community lost a great man when Eric Dixon with ATI Materials and Chair of YOUR Chamber Board of Directors passed away. A scholarship was created in Eric's honor to help South Piedmont Community College students interested in programs focusing on Manufacturing. At the Manufacturing Celebration Breakfast, Fred Edwards, President and COO of Goulston Technologies and Chair of Make It In Union County, announced that this scholarship is now fully endowed just a year after being formed. That’s a wrap on MS&T 2024! Shoutout to our #ProvenPerformers who attended the conference and presented our #ProvenToPerform capabilities. Key takeaways 👇 ➡️ ATI Titan 171™, our new high-temperature titanium alloy, outperforms all current alloys in strength at high temperatures and improves creep resistance over incumbent alloys like Ti17. It is also printable and highly tunable through heat treatment. ➡️ ATI 1700™ is a newly invented nickel alloy with a high gamma prime volume fraction. It has been shown to be very printable compared to other Ni alloys. It also outperforms other alloys in creep resistance and high-temperature strength. ➡️ ATI Titan 23™ & Titan 27™, our new high-strength, titanium alloys, will support further innovation in the #aerospace industry. #materialsscience #aerospace #manufacturing
