The demand for research in microgravity is growing and so is the importance of establishing European sovereignty in return capabilities from space. This was one of the dominant points of discussion during the visit of Daniel Caspary MdEP, member of the European Parliament and Christian Greilach, Mayor of Lichtenau. As our mission is closely connected to European goals in space politics, we are very thankful to present our current state of development and our upcoming milestones with Mr. Caspary 🇪🇺 #ATMOS #microgravity #NewSpace #Europe

Altair is our partner for mechanical and thermal analyses. ATMOS relies on Altair's extended experience and state-of-the-art simulation tools, such as HyperMesh®, Optistruct®, or Simsolid® in order to develop PHOENIX, our orbital microgravity and reentry platform. Altair's portfolio also features many other tools we will test and exploit in the near future. ATMOS is a part of Altair's Ad Astra Aerospace and Defence accelerator program. Their team in Munich provides us not only with a flexible simulation environment, but also with tailored expertise and training. Through this unique collaboration we are confident to design the best possible capsule today and innovate for tomorrow. #AerospaceEngineering #SimulationExcellence #AltairAdAstra #ATMOScollab

Here's our new social media knowledge format we call: ATMOS' Little Science Corner. We thought you might enjoy learning more about some important terminology we use every day. If you have requests for topics, please leave a message below :) 🛰 LEO: The Orbit That Changes the World Low Earth Orbit (short: LEO) - the area up to 2,000 km above Earth - is just above the atmosphere layers including the Troposphere, Stratosphere, Mesosphere, and Thermosphere. 🤔 Why LEO Matters: 1. Satellite Communication: LEO provides high-speed internet and telecom services with lower latency and higher data rates, essential for modern communication. 2. Scientific Research: LEO offers a unique environment for microgravity experiments: • ISS (400 km): Research in biology, physical sciences, and Earth observation. • Earth Observation Satellites (500-1,000 km): Climate change monitoring and disaster management. • Astronomy Satellites (600-1,200 km): Studying the universe and searching for exoplanets. • Tech Demonstrations: Testing satellite servicing and space debris removal. 🔜 The Future of LEO: LEO will continue to play a pivotal role in space exploration, scientific discovery, and global connectivity. Its potential is vast and its impact is boundless. #ATMOS #microgravity #science

In 2023, our company’s foundation has been made possible - together with other investors - through a regional German investment initiative of MBG Mittelständische Beteiligungsgesellschaft Baden-Württemberg GmbH. In the presence of Dr. Nicole Hoffmeister-Kraut, Minister of Economy, Labor and Tourism for Baden-Württemberg, the association announced its newest BW Seed Fonds with a total volume of EUR 12.5M to further growth in the region. Being part of this as the fund's initial investment dating back to last year makes us proud. We here at ATMOS celebrate the inspiring commitment to the future development of the region, which we too are part of. This hopefully will inspire and enable other startups to grow valuable businesses and inspire a culture of sustainable growth. Special thanks to our friends and partners at German Aerospace Center (DLR)! #NewSpace #Microgravity #ATMOS
