Today, we had the pleasure of welcoming 20 enthusiastic food chemistry students from Technische Universität Dresden, offering them a behind-the-scenes look at how their science degrees could shape their future careers. Our Trainee Flavourist, Verena Müller, guided them with great knowledge through the fascinating journey of flavour development—from research and analysis to application technology and sensory testing, complete with a gummy bear tasting. Following that, process engineer Michael Klee took the students through the intricate processes of producing liquid and powder blends, extracts, and spray-dried products, with insights into large-scale production technology. We're quite confident that the illustrated close collaboration between our development and production teams left a strong impression, inspiring the next generation of food technologists for a career in a mid-sized company like ours.   #STEMCareers #Mint #CareerInScience

Mit dem Elternhilfe für krebskranke Kinder Leipzig e. V. unterstützen wir von Herzen eine wichtige Initiative in unserer Region. Der Vorschlag aus unserer Belegschaft fand viel Zuspruch. Während unseres Family & Friends-Events betreuten Geschäftsführer Holger Wetzler und seine Kolleg*innen einen Tag lang die Tombola und verkauften Lose in Rekordgeschwindigkeit an die Bell-Mitarbeiter*innen und ihre Angehörigen. Der eingesammelte und von Bell nochmals aufgerundete Betrag kommt nun u.a. der Sporttherapie des Vereins zu Gute. Für die erkrankten Kinder bildet dies einen wichtigen Ausgleich zur sonst eher bewegungsarmen Zeit während der Behandlung. Markus Wulftange gab uns heute Einblicke in die Angebote der Elterninitiative, welche die Krankenkassen oft nicht oder nur zu einem Teil finanzieren, so dass jeder weitere Euro wichtig ist. Übrigens: Am 31. Oktober lädt der Verein ein zum Benefizlauf: www.lauf-gegen-krebs.de. ++ Elternhilfe für krebskranke Kinder e.V. (Parents' aid for children with cancer) is an important initiative in our region that we support wholeheartedly. The idea from our employees was very well received. During our Family & Friends event, Managing Director Holger Wetzler and his colleagues hosted the tombola for an entire day, selling tickets to Bell employees and their families. The money, which was rounded up by Bell, now goes towards the association's sports therapy programme. For the sick children, this is an important counterbalance to the otherwise sedentary time during their treatment. Today, Markus Wulftange gave us an insight into the initiative's programmes, which are often not or only partially funded by health insurance companies, so every additional euro is important. What a day! Our Bell Family & Friends event was a blast, offering behind-the-scenes glimpses into our production, logistics and research facilities.
