Our BILSTEIN EVO T2 track performance suspension not only ensures a lower center of gravity, which enables higher cornering speeds and faster lap times on the track. The coilover suspension also uses our 10×10 Pro-Click adjustment system, which allows a separate adjustment in both rebound and compression via two aluminium adjustment wheels. As a new development, the EVO T2 suspension also adjusts the compression damping on the special bottom valve in addition to the valve on the piston rod by regulating the preload here. This enables a total of 100 different damper set-ups - perfect for individual driving styles and the characteristics of any racetrack. With BILSTEIN DampTronic® II, we have a semi-active suspension technology in our range that perfectly suited to the demanding requirements of a leading car manufacturer. Designed as a continuously adjustable damper, the technology enables an exceptionally high spread of sportiness and maximum comfort.  “The original system established in the aftermarket was only designed for small series and also required cost optimization in order to meet the requirements of customers from the original equipment (OE) sector,” says Jürgen Schneider, who is responsible for BILSTEIN DampTronic® II in our OE division. The system therefore had to be transferred to large-scale production, which at BILSTEIN is characterized by a high degree of automation. The newly introduced “Advanced Development Process” (ADP) at BILSTEIN played a key role in this. The ADP process is designed as a structured, methodical approach with which innovative technologies and products are systematically developed and tested based on overarching goals - such as time or cost targets - in order to ensure their market readiness before they are transferred to series production. Our holistic expertise convinced the premium manufacturer from Bavaria. This year, we proudly supported the young engineers of the Formula Student Raceteam of the Ruhr-University Bochum, Germany. In cooperation with our motorsport department, RUB Motorsport e.V. implemented a completely new spring-damper system. And as part of the partnership, the students had access to our know-how and our state-of-the-art 7-post rig to optimize the suspension setup of the “RUB24” racing car. The team's summary of the season is therefore highly positive: Starting with the Formula Student Race Austria at the Red Bull Ring, the RUB24 competed in three race weeks spread over July and August. In Spielberg, Hockenheim and on the Bugatti Rimac Test Track, it set several internal team records. The car was on the starting line in 16 out of 16 possible dynamic disciplines, scored more points than in 2021, drove more competitive kilometers than at any time in the last six years, delivered more power than any RUB Motorsport vehicle ever before and achieved the fastest acceleration time since the team was founded.
