Some types of investment fare significantly better than others. That's the author of “The Little Book of Common Sense Investing,'' John C. Bogle's take on the idea that any investment involves a degree of risk-taking. He makes a simple and compelling case for investing in mutual funds, and in one type of mutual fund in particular—low-cost index funds. To learn more about index funds, and why John C. Bogle believes they’re our safest bet, listen to the full Blink of his book, “The Little Book of Common Sense Investing" on Blinkist. 🎧 https://lnkd.in/e9-pyJYf

Well, there's one thing that never surprises us here at Go1: when it comes to popularity, Blinkist typically tops the charts.🥇 This is especially true when discussing personal development and leadership topics that uplift the "whole" person. We know millions of Go1 learners are thrilled by the audio format of book summaries, which leave them feeling brighter by the minute. It is also fun to see other outstanding content partners and trending topics, such as critical thinking and resiliency, hit the top spots, too! 🥈🥉 Are you curious to see if critical thinking skills will continue to become more important for organizations as AI becomes more ubiquitous? Or will the topic of "resiliency" that surged alongside the COVID-19 global pandemic ever decline? The good news is that time - and data points - will soon tell. With Go1 Content transforming workplace learning cultures on a global scale, our consumption data can indicate where the inherent priorities are for learners and leaders everywhere. Furthermore, our Go1 Customer Success Team supports L&D leaders by equipping them with the data points and expertly curated resources to help drive engagement toward content that will predictably interest learners. #learninganddevelopment #personaldevelopment #selfdirectedlearning

For effective problem-solving, prioritization is a crucial bridge from defining and dissecting your problem to planning and executing your analysis. 🌉 Neglecting this step can dilute your focus, spreading resources too thinly across all issues, which is a recipe for inefficiency, Charles Conn explains in his Blinkist Guide, 7 Steps to Bulletproof Problem-Solving. Charles' advice? Employ a straightforward prioritization matrix to discern which branches to preserve. This matrix evaluates the potential impact of each factor (low or high) against the ease of implementing change (low or high).  Our attention concentrates on those areas with significant impact and those that are relatively easy to influence, which is the upper right-hand box of the 2x2 matrix. “We suffer more often in imagination than in reality,” the famous Roman philosopher Seneca once said. So what would their advice be regarding that upcoming presentation you’re losing sleep over? Or that message you sent in the group chat that still hasn’t gotten a response? Approach life with equanimity 😌 Put simply, do your best whenever you can, but peacefully accept that there are parts of life that you can’t control—like other's feelings and actions, for example. When you think of an organized office or home, do you think of your own? Maybe not 😅 We’ve long been taught that organization consists of color-coordinated boxes stacked neatly, meticulously arranged filing cabinets, a clear desk and minimalistic visuals where nothing is out of place. Cassandra Aarssen, professional organizer and author of “The Clutter Connection,” offers a fresh perspective: You’re not messy — you’ve just been forced to use a system that doesn’t suit your natural way of arranging your space. Aarssen’s best advice to get from chaos to workable order? Forget the one-size-fits-all approach and get to know your organizational style. 🧹 To learn more about butterflies, bees, ladybugs and crickets, and the approaches that work best for each of them, check out the full Blink: https://lnkd.in/ejBf94Rs
