Celebrations! More celebrations! On Monday we held the festive christening ceremony for our second LakerMax newbuilding MV BBC HOUSTON in...Houston! Perfectly fitting the new vessels maiden voyage led her to the US. Our colleague Daniela Peña Kopfensteiner, Chartering Broker at BBC Chartering and spouse of Tim Kopfensteiner, President at BBC Chartering USA LLC, acted as the godmother of the vessel, wishing her "fair winds and following seas" before perfectly smashing the champagne bottle on her bow. At the end of August, our 1st year trainees attended a start-up seminar to learn more about shipping and the company. From gaining new knowledge and skills to engaging in meaningful discussions, apprentices enjoyed the opportunity to learn new information and also to strengthen the bonds and build relationships that will stay with them for a long time to come. We are grateful to every participant and a special thank you to our colleagues and speakers from Briese Schiffahrts GmbH & Co.
