What a view! It was a pleasure to join clients Brookfield Properties and Cbus Property at the Nine The Esplanade site last week to celebrate topping out, taking in the sights from the 19 level Premium Grade office tower across Perth’s Elizabeth Quay precinct. With over 500,000 hours worked on site, 2,800 tonnes of steel reinforcement installed and 20,000 cubic metres of concrete poured, it was a fantastic opportunity to recognise the hard work of the team so far in delivering this landmark new addition to the Perth skyline. It’s also a great example of how we are building on time, on budget and on carbon – with the Nine The Esplanade structure on track to achieve a 49% reduction in embodied carbon through the use of low-carbon concrete and steel reinforcement. We’re looking forward to building completion, and moving into our new Perth head office at Nine The Esplanade, in 2025!

Last week, we had an incredible time celebrating our Annual Oktoberfest Tenant Event at Brookfield Place Calgary! It felt like a slice of Germany right in the heart of downtown, complete with a live polka band, soft pretzels, and plenty of lager. A huge thank you to our fantastic team for organizing another unforgettable event, and to our partners at Sunterra Quality Food Markets Inc., PM GIGS Inc, Annex Ale Project, and MDRN Activations for making it all come together. It was the perfect way to kick off the season with our tenant community. Here’s to creating many more moments like this—Prost!

As families embrace the new school year, our shopping centers across the United States implemented a diverse range of programs to equip students with the necessary tools, resources and skills as they head back to class.  📚 Riverchase Galleria in Hoover, Alabama organized a back-to-school shopping experience guided by potential adoptive parents for fourteen foster children. The kids received fresh clothes and supplies for school, while also learning about essential life skills like budgeting. 📚 Visalia Mall in Visalia, California hosted the annual Back to School Expo which welcomed 35 local exhibitors focused on school supplies, education, and family resources, and health. Attendees enjoyed giveaways, special prizes, and swag tailored to kids and families! 📚 Peachtree Mall in Columbus, Georgia’s partnered with local organizations and retailers to provided over 200 children with school supplies and complimentary haircuts. 📚 Baybrook Mall in Houston, Texas held a school supply donation drive with all proceeds going directly to BEAR...BE A Resource for CPS Kids Houston, in partnership with the Heart Gallery of Great Houston, which provides support to abused and neglected children and their caseworkers. 📚 Sooner Mall in Norman, Oklahoma distributed backpacks filled with school supplies to underprivileged families. Each year, the mall also participates in United Way’s Stuff the Bus program which resulted in over 30,000 school supply donations, benefiting more than 1,000 individuals in need. Together, we’re paving the way for a school year filled with endless growth, new opportunities, and exciting possibilities!
