We have been operating in South America for a quarter of a century. Our plant in Curitiba celebrates its 25th anniversary this year. Let us take you to Brazil. 📍🌏 Curitiba is one of the three most important automotive regions in the country. We started production here in April 1999. We produced door modules and window regulators on 8,000 square meters. In 2010, our site was Brose's largest window regulator plant with an annual production of more than 5.5 million units. Today, around 290 employees work at our site on a total area of 20,000 square meters. Here we develop, produce and test products for our Drives and Exterior divisions. To celebrate the site's anniversary, our Brazilian colleagues came up with a special idea: In early June, 25 young trees were given a new, permanent home on our plant premises and in public schools and institutions. "We chose the planting to celebrate the achievements of Brose do Brasil in these 25 years, to value our roots and to strengthen ties with the institutions that are around us. Let's celebrate the coming years by reaping even more fruits, for ourselves and future generations", emphasizes Murilo Matta, president of Brose Brazil, at the event. 🌱 #brose #broselocation #automotive #mobility #global #innovation #electronics #technology #international #brasil #curitiba #buildingexcellencetogether #excellenceinside

When a career takes off : Narayan Soni's first contact with Brose was at the Formula Student Germany at the Hockenheimring in 2019. He was a member of Stallion Motorsport Electric team. Today, he is a software developer for cooling fan modules. He joined Brose India over four years ago and works now a Senior Engineer. His current project is to optimize a new microcontroller to make it as resource friendly as possible. Improving motor control algorithms is also part of his job. He gained the practical #experience for his job in a special way. As a student, he was responsible for designing the electric safety system of a racing car. Narayan also developed an electronic gear shifter for the car. In 2019, his team was the first and only Indian team to finish Formula Student Germany at the Hockenheimring. 💬 His tip from that time: "Always know the 'why, what and how' of your project and then never give up. I learned resilience as a Formula Student and it still helps me today to keep going. If a mistake happens, analyze them and then look for a solution". To this day, he stays in touch with the team and supports them with technical and industry-specific information, because "with the right team, there's no problem that can't be solved," Narayan says. #brose #automotive #buildingexcellencetogether #excellenceinside

As an automotive supplier, we also contribute to the mobility transition with our products. 🌱 🔋 But did you know that #electric cars are up to 300 kg heavier than comparable combustion engine? This is primarily due to the battery, but additional equipment also increases the weight. 🧐   So every kilogram counts in product development for electrified and therefore more #sustainable cars!   💡 Our approach: we manufacture door modules from thermoplastic composite. The innovative lightweight material and our modular design achieve weight savings of several kilograms per vehicle door.   The further development of the structural module offers further potential. Here, the system limits of the door modules are extended so that they also take on static structural tasks in the door. Our module thus replaces parts of the door body.   Car manufacturers receive the system as a pre-tested unit and it only takes a few simple steps to insert it into the door frame. The more functions, such as fastening elements for cables or guide rails, are integrated on the module, the less additional work needs to be carried out. This not only saves weight, but also costs! #brose #automotive #supplier #excellenceinside #sustainability

Top award for top work: We have been recognized for our quality and excellence! 🏆 This month, General Motors presented our plant in Hallstadt, Germany, with the Supplier Quality Excellence Award for the year 2023, and there is a lot of excitement in North America as well. The customer team in Auburn Hills works closely with GM to identify market-specific needs. Effective collaboration between the project teams in Hallstadt, Auburn Hills and Querétaro Benito Juárez in Mexico made this success possible. #brose #automotiv #supplier #excellenceinside #buildingexcellencetogehter

A sustainable product has to be designed as such. #Development and product #design are our strongest levers for achieving our sustainability goals. 🌱 💡 We design our products to be circular from the start. This means less waste, recyclable materials and increased recyclability. For example, by remanufacturing used e-bike drives, Brose E-Bike can save 240 tons of CO2-emissions per year. We also use sustainable materials, including recycled or innovative bio-based materials. 💡 We have ambitious goals to significantly reduce the carbon footprint of our products. By 2039, we aim to offer our customers carbon-neutral products. Thanks to our global production network, we can ensure short delivery routes and regional supply. 💡 As an automotive supplier, we are also contributing to the transformation of mobility. For example, our electrified auxiliary units increase the efficiency of cars, and our door modules made of innovative lightweight materials help reduce weight. We also produce components and systems for e-bikes and e-scooters. #brose #automotive #supplier #excellenceinside #transformation #sustainability #products #design
