We have equipped more than 100 million vehicles with it: since its launch in 1993, we have produced around 247 million manual seat height adjusters (MSH). The MSH is one of our most successful product innovations. 🚗💡 The previous height adjustment system was loud, expensive and only worked in steps. That's why Brosians were looking for an alternative. 🧐 After many years of development, we made the breakthrough more than 30 years ago and presented the manual seat height adjustment to the public for the first time at the International Motor Show (IAA). And the development continues: the latest, 6th generation of the MSH is about to go into series production in the third quarter of this year. Avoiding waste is just one of the goals of our Brose E-Bike remanufacturing program. What exactly is this all about? 💡   We spoke to Vincent Bahar, one of the brains behind the project. He has been part of our Brose family for three years.   Vincent joined the quality department at Brose E-Bike as an intern and subsequently completed his bachelor's thesis there. The topic? The development of a production concept for #remanufacturing our e-bike drives.    For suitable drives, all components are thoroughly checked by a service technician after a defect, cleaned and, if necessary, replaced with new parts and reassembled into a remanufactured product. This saves CO2, prevents good components from being thrown away and allows us to offer our customers a cheaper alternative.   After graduating, Vincent stayed at Brose to put his theoretical work into practice. The Reman Drive has been available for the aftermarket since August 2023. #electric cars move almost silently on the road. The danger is that it takes a long time for an approaching vehicle to be detected #acoustically. That's why we have developed an acoustic warning system - AVAS (Acoustic Vehicle Alerting System) - that will go into series production in 2026. 💪 It took only a few months from the idea to the presentation of our concept to car manufacturers to the first working demonstrator. 🚀The start-up mentality of our employees made this success possible. Everyone worked closely together in a small team and pursued new technological approaches using innovative simulation tools. In South Africa, we produce window regulators, door systems and cooling fan modules for our business divisions #Exterior and #Drives. 🌍️🇿🇦 The joint venture RG Brose Automotive Components (Pty.) Ltd. was founded in South Africa in 1999. Three years later, Stefano Gulmini, the son of our recently passed partner, took over the management of the joint venture. The Gulmini and Stoschek families have worked closely together in South Africa since the company's inception.🤝Today, we employ approximately 350 people at two locations in Brits and East London. We also support #social projects in the communities around our sites. Michael Stoschek takes over as Chairman of the Supervisory Board of our company. Effective 08 July 2024, Dr. Rolf Breidenbach has resigned from his position as Chairman of the Supervisory Board. The Supervisory Board of Brose SE has unanimously elected Michael Stoschek, member of this Board and shareholder of the Brose Group, as the new Chairman until the end of the current term of office. The reason for the change was a difference of opinion on the strategic alignment of the company against the background of current market developments. Maximilian Stoschek will remain Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Brose SE. 💬 "I would like to thank Dr. Breidenbach for many years of very successful cooperation as a member of the Advisory Board and Supervisory Board of the Brose Group.
