Bursting with remarkable achievements and breakthrough moments, September has set a new benchmark for us at Cevotec We had the pleasure of hosting Archie Wride from the UK’s National Composites Centre to witness the manufacturing of the second demonstrator of a fairing component using Fiber Patch Placement (FPP) technology and reclaimed waste material. This visit provided valuable insights into FPP's ARTIST STUDIO software and hardware aspects, further strengthening the relationship between Cevotec and NCC. We’re thrilled to support NCC’s FPP waste utilization study showcasing how FPP efficiently repurposes dry carbon fiber waste into precise patch laminates, supporting the production of high-performance, sustainable #aerospace components. At the beginning of August, FUJI INDUSTRIES CO. LIMITED visited our offices and our project partner manroland web produktionsgesellschaft mbH to learn more about the current project status of the SAMBA Pro PV system which will be shipped to Japan. SAMBA Pro PV is based on the fully automated Fiber Patch Placement system, and designed to place fiber patches directly on domes of composite tanks to reduce material, weight and manufacturing costs while increasing storage volume for advanced H2 tank production. UK’s National Composites Centre NCC demonstrated how #FiberPatchPlacement can recycle up to 80% of dry fiber material from the earliest stages of high-performance #composite production in #aerospace manufacturing. Cevotec supported NCC in converting dry carbon #fiber waste into a precise patch laminate using our ARTIST STUDIO software for sustainable secondary feedstock to produce high-performance components. As aerospace shifts to higher production rates and improved sustainability, NCC anticipates a significant potential that #FPP can reduce manufacturing waste and automate the production of complex 3D shapes, multi-material laminates, and #lightweight reinforcements.
