Over the past year, CLI has engaged in a consultative process with close partners and our Collective Leadership Specilaists to co-develop a lens in the Compass for designing and enlivening communities of practice and peer learning networks. We call the lens the "Community Catalysts!" There are numerous lenses in the Collective Leadership Compass, which can be applied at different levels– to individuals, teams, stakeholder systems, and international networks - from big to small and back again! If you’re interested in applying the Compass to assess and enliven collective leadership capacity in yourself and others, your first step is to learn about the tool through our Art of Leading Collectively course. The next open ALC course is in June of 2025; learn more and register here: https://lnkd.in/dyeiXmy4 The Community Catalys lens was co-developed by CLI Team members: Dominic Stucker, Douglas F. Williamson, Elisabeth Kühn, Guillem Vallbona Iborra, Katrin Schulz, Maryana Zaviyska, and Dr. Petra Kuenkel. By Collective Leadership Specialists: Aba Opoku, Barry G. Collective Leadership Institute gGmbH's Nomvula Dlamini, Lulekwa Gqiba, and Dominic Stucker recently had the pleasure of teaming up with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) to deliver a 4-day workshop entitled "Regional Wildlife Conservation: The Art of Stakeholder Collaboration" in Cape Town, South Africa for over 2 dozen law enforcement and customs officials from Angola, Kenya, Mozambique, Namibia, Tanzania, and Uganda. Participants applied the Dialogic Change Model to four regional initiatives that they developed during the workshop: 🐘Community Engagement for Local Protection of Wildlife 🦏Joint Operations for the Disruption of Wildlife Crime Syndicates 🦓Combatting Poaching and Illegal Wildlife Trade 🌴Establishing an Environmental Crimes Commission Participants demonstrated a genuine desire to collaborate across borders to address wildlife crimes. 100% of participants would recommend the workshop to their colleagues and partners and workshop goal achievement was scored as a 4.5 / 5.0. Participants described their experience in the following ways: "Collaboration is a great tool to achieve goals. Understanding the techniques of stakeholder engagement and dialogue is very useful!" "The course offered a wider perspective on how wildlife crime can be combatted using a collaboration approach." "There is a large number of professionals in need of this training among our countries." If you wish to learn how to apply CLI's Dialogic Change Model or Collective Leadership Compass, sign up for one of our upcoming, hybrid open courses as a first step to becoming certified as a Collective Leadership Specialist! https://lnkd.in/dc9EB-f
