This report dives into the latest advancements in scales and key performance indicators (KPIs) aimed at refining energy performance assessments 🔍. Key insights include: - Reviewing KPIs across various criteria: smartness, human-centric factors, energy performance, financials, and climate change 🌍 - Analyzing KPIs used in Horizon 2020 projects to facilitate a comparative approach to building energy metrics 🏢 - Focusing on "smartness" via the Smart Readiness Indicator and its emerging role in European directives 📈 - Investigating KPI use across partner countries including Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Denmark, Greece, Malta, Poland, Slovenia, Spain, and the UK (Scotland) 🌐 - Proposing new output metrics and KPIs to meet evolving EPC requirements 💡 This report helps to set new benchmarks and metrics for energy performance in buildings.
