Why #LED-UV is the Best Long-Term Curing Solution for Label Printing! 💡 Choosing the right #drying or #curing technology is crucial for an efficient and sustainable printing process. In label printing, several methods are available: 🔹 Infrared Drying: This is used with water-based inks, which are eco-friendly and versatile. However, the efficiency of this method is limited: infrared dryers, sometimes combined with hot air, lead to high energy costs and need a lot of space. Despite their environmental benefits, IR drying remains at a disadvantage both economically and in terms of energy consumption. 🔹 Electron Beam (EB) Curing: This method is solvent-free and results in particularly hard and durable surfaces. You can't get more energy savings than that! ✅ Eco-Friendliness: No solvents, no ozone emissions, no mercury, and low carbonate emissions – LED-UV technology is clean and environmentally friendly. ✅ Low Heat Generation: Since LED-UV produces no infrared radiation, the material remains cooler, significantly reducing the need for complex cooling systems and enabling shorter web paths ✅ Longevity & Cost Efficiency: With a lifespan of over 20,000 hours, maintenance costs are significantly reduced ✅ High Flexibility: LED-UV systems allow for precise curing and can be adapted to various substrates, inks, andweb speeds, ensuring high process control. 🔮 Conclusion: The label printing industry is increasingly focusing on energy-efficient and environmentally friendly technologies. Milky Mist Dairy stands as one of the leading dairy companies in India and beyond, producing high-quality dairy products (milk powder, paneer cheese, cheddar, set yogurt, stirred fruit yogurt, yogurt, quark, butter, chocolate, condensed milk, UHT milk and ice cream) at an industrial scale. We are very pleased – and of course very proud – to be able to deliver another filling system: an 8-lane inline GRUNWALD-FOODLINER filling machine with an integrated packer. This system boasts a capacity of up to 15,000 packs per hour, ensuring packaging material sterilization to ≤ log 4 using UV(C) lamps. It is designed to handle 1kg buckets as well as 500g and 700g cups. Milky Mist Dairy has long relied on the technical expertise, performance, and stringent hygiene standards of our high-performance cup fillers. Following the successful deployment of two GRUNWALD rotary cup filling machines in 2015 and 2016, and a FOODLINER line in 2018, this marks the fourth filling and packaging system with which Milky Mist is expanding its production.
