High-end tracking tags for a variety of species
Info
Welcome to e-obs GmbH! We are an innovative company based in Germany. We are specialized in the engineering and production of high-end GPS telemetry products to study animal movement and behaviour. e-obs specialisation are lightweight GPS-tags combining high data rates supported by intelligent recording algorithms (energy or acceleration informed) and remote data download capabilities. Our products enable researchers to analyse small scale movement with up to 1Hz GPS recording resolution and classify distinct behaviours using our unique acceleration sensor data with up to 100Hz resolution. e-obs offers GPS bird tags as well as GPS mammal collars in numerous shapes and sizes for a variety of study approaches with starting weights of 10g for bird units and 59g for our collars. All tags feature a GPS-unit, a unique 3D-accelerometer with raw data recording, a UHF Pinger (VHF tracking equivalent) as well as a high-speed radio-link for wireless on-site data download. Some of the solar powered bird tags feature an additional GSM/GPRS-module for almost worldwide data reception. e-obs has been founded by a team of engineers with several years of industrial experience. Having a strong engineering background we are able to not only deliver reliable state-of-the-art products but to push technology. We also have an excellent understanding of animal biology as we have been joining fieldwork and telemetry projects since 2001. Over the last 15 years we have developed a very good understanding of the biology of our tagged animals and the needs of our customers. This close relationship to our customers allows us to constantly improve and expand our product portfolio. We are dedicated to our customers and we offer the best possible support, assisting you in every phase of your telemetry project.

We’re proud to contribute to this amazing project, enabling groundbreaking insights into animal behavior and ecology. #eobs #AnimalTracking #
🐒 Max Planck Institute of Animal Behavior's #Baboon Project Team recently fitted 63 baboons with Sigfox 0G technology collars from e-obs GmbH to collect real-time and fine-scale, downloadable movement data. These solar-powered collars provide valuable insights into how changing environments affect behaviour and sleep patterns. This advanced technology enables a deeper understanding of population dynamics and behaviour, helping to guide local communities and shape effective #Conservation Policies. #ResearchAtMpala #ScienceSpotlight #TechForGood #IoTForGood #WildlifeConservation #SaveWildlife #ProtectWildlife #WildlifeConservationDay #Biodiversity Jens C.
