The cost-of-living crisis is nearly over, but inflation pressures are here to stay. In my latest analysis, I've outlined three key reasons why inflation is set to remain high in the new era of globalisation: - Supply chain strategies continue to be ongoing and costly. - The shift towards self-sufficiency is inefficient. - Climate disasters are becoming more frequent, highly disruptive and expensive. These factors will result in elevated inflation and interest rates, impacting investments and hiring. While AI-driven productivity growth will offer some relief from price pressures, it may not be enough to offset them. As companies continue experimenting with AI, getting this right will be crucial for productivity, growth and inflation. https://lnkd.in/ek-KsJbV #suppychains #inflation #globalisation #artificialintelligence
