Celebrate with us! After three years, Electrochaea has successfully completed the EIC Accelerator program, which is co-funded by the European Innovation Council (EIC) and supports innovative companies in bringing their products and services to market. With the funding provided, Electrochaea has been able to scale up its biomethanation technology to industrial scale with an archetype design of 10 MWe. The implementation will take place directly within the BioCat-Roslev project in Denmark. There is no better way to learn about technology at work than a facility tour. Electrochaea had the opportunity to be part of a site visit of the Centre de Traitement de la Biomasse de la Montérégie (CTBM) in Saint-Pie, Canada! During this visit, Arianne Bhérer-Breton and Doris Hafenbradl could see a range of technologies for use of biomass deployed and managed in an impressive operation. We had the privilege of meeting with representatives from the CTBM, Qarbonex, National Research Council Canada / Conseil national de recherches Canada and Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières. It was an incredible opportunity to exchange experience and expertise with such a forward-thinking group. We appreciated the warm welcome and the fruitful discussions at the site and the brainstorming meeting thereafter. It is truly encouraging to see that the Quebec Government ensures the necessary conditions and financial support mechanisms to achieve the goal of generating 26 TWh of renewable gases by 2030. We are committed to deploying Electrochaea´s biomethanation technology to support our partners on the way to this ambitious goal. We are grateful to work with such dedicated and knowledgeable cleantech minds.
