#EnergySecurity 🔌🔐 Last week, MEP Beata Szydło published her draft report on this key topic. 🗓️ This week, the European Commission published its work programme for this year 2025. #Competitiveness is very high on the agenda, and so are #energy and #security. 📌 One of the planned initiatives is a so-called "fitness check" of the EU #energysecurity architecture, planned in Q2 2025. Together with our sister association EUTurbines - European Association of Gas and Steam Turbine Manufacturers, we have already published a series of recommendations for this possible review: 1️⃣ Focus on the essentials and adapt to a decarbonising energy system 2️⃣ Take an integrated approach to energy security 3️⃣ Extend the gas security of supply to all (decarbonised) gases and fuels 4️⃣ Take a broad approach to flexibility and storage 5️⃣ Integrate new threats linked to electrification 6️⃣ Combine wholesale price signals with reliable investment signals You can download our paper here: https://lnkd.in/eA5phnRH The Commission work programme is available here: https://lnkd.in/disrWz3z

🌍 A resilient energy system is a diversified one! At the #EUGINE10years event, we explored how blending different energy carriers is the way forward. Take MAN Energy Solutions, for example, a company that complements renewables with decentralised solutions—from large heat pumps to power plants running on renewable fuels.
